EB-1 Green Card

Do I need a lawyer to file my immigrant visa petition as an extraordinary ability applicant?

Do you need to see a doctor if you have medical problems, such as diabetes or asthma? Is your immigration status in the United States important to you? If your answer to both questions is yes, then you have answered this one of our FAQs yourself. If you do not think that your immigration status is important enough, if you are adventurous by nature and like to experiment, or if you want to see if the old adage, which says that “he who represents himself, has a fool for a client” is in fact true, go ahead and see if you can win your own case. While we definitely wish you good luck in this process, we have to caution you that an inadequate EB-1 extraordinary ability immigrant visa filing may seriously damage your chances to have another one approved in the future.

Can you represent me with regard to my extraordinary ability case? What are your qualifications in this regard? How much is it going to cost me and how long will it take?

Our experienced immigration attorney, Tatiana S. Aristova, Esq., will gladly review your case at no charge and will advise you as to whether she will be able to represent you. We do not accept all cases that may be coming our way; in fact, we are rather selective, because our legal fees depend a lot (to be precise, by at least 40%) on our ability to win the case. Therefore, we only accept cases that we have a reasonable chance of winning. Tatiana S. Aristova, Esq. has been practicing immigration law exclusively for over 11 years, and has won numerous EB-1 extraordinary ability immigrant visa cases in various fields of science, arts and sport. Our legal fees vary based on the complexity of the case, but compared to our competitors, our fees tend to be in the middle of the range. Our legal fee is normally split into two parts, the first part (about 60%) due at the inception of the case, and the second part is due and payable upon the approval of your immigrant visa petition. Should you wish to retain us to assist you with the filing of an application for adjustment of status or with the consular processing of your case upon approval of your immigrant visa petition, additional fees may apply.

How come nobody else came up with an EB-1 questionnaire like yours before?

We can’t really answer this question. The only thing we can tell you is that we are very passionate about the EB-1 immigration category and we want our clients to capitalize on our unique expertise in this field.
